From 1755 to 1834   an assortment of sewing machines existed.  Weisenthal, Saint, Madersperger, Stone, Thimonnier, Hunt and Howe all invented a machine of sorts. 

But not until ISAAC SINGER in the 1850's did we have a machine that is still loved and respected to this day.
